3DSMAX9 64bit and XP64 Plugin doesnt work.
I recently upgraded my hardware and software running on XP64 and 3DSMAX9 64. The plugin that can with 3D Photo Browser Pro 9.1 doesnt work on this OS or it maybe this version of MAX. I really need this to work. This is a great tool to help speed up my work flow. As of now Iam kinda crippled with using Windows explorer in thumbnail mode. I usually scan thru my library of MAX files in 3DPBPro and drag and drop them into MAX from a second monitor. I can still do this within Windows Explorer but I dont want to have to keep switching back and forth when cruising thru 100's of Max files and images. I sometimes keep special textures that are used for a scene along with the max files in separate folders. That way when backing up scenes and textures these are safe from being lost and quick to RAR to a contractor to finish up on or tweak.

Hello Randal,
The plugin is not available yet for 3DS Max x64.
Hopefully, we start the x64 conversion in September and the new x64 version should be available during the third quarter.
This will apply to Polygon Cruncher and 3D Photo Browser.
I hope you can find a workaroung until then.

Well its several months later and still no MAX_64 ... XP64 Plugin. And the 3DPB_9.12's plugin reports an error message telling me some 32bit problem...
I guess you guys forgot me. I guess next time Iam buying something I might accidently forget where I placed my money. LOL

Hello,
Yes you are true. We already release Polygon Cruncher x64 bits but we have some late on 3D Photo Browser x64.
This is due to 2 main changes:
- The x64 bits transition which involves some changes in some part of the code
- The Unicode transition which involes changes everywhere in the code.
This is now running and a new release will be available soon.
Thanks you for your patience!

Still no fix for XP64. I hope Vista64 gets more enthusiasm than XP64 in developement. So far XP64 has been really great allowing me to use all my RAM intead of being limited the way XP32 has been crippled. All the 32 bit OS's should be trashed never to return again. I know most of the masses use 32bit and only a small percentage of folks use 64bit. In that regard most companies produce whats in demand by the larger percentage even though they dont relize they're not getting all the bang for the buck from 32bit. Very frustrating indeed. But we are seeing Apple's MACs kicking PC's rearend as of late. Hehehe

Hello,
I have good news. The x64 bits release is now available. You can get it now from this post.
You'll be also able to download it tomorrow from mootools web site. It includes support for 3DS Max x64, Maya x64 and Lightwave x64.
Jumping to x64 bits (and Unicode) was a long travel, but this is now done!

I'm using vistax64 and max 2008 x64.
I've downloaded trial version of 3d brower 9.3
but it didn't install max x64 plugin anywhere and I can't see any of option for x64 plugin.
what's wrong?

Hello,
When you are running a x64 bit O/S, the setup asks you - before anything else - if you want to install x32 bits or x64 bits version of Polygon Cruncher.
Please select Polygon Cruncher x64 bits then select the 3ds Max 9 version of Polygon Cruncher.
You should have a file called polygoncruncher7_90_x64.dlu in the stdplugs folder. It's size is 508 928 bytes.
Thanks,
Manuel
