Tip#1 - The masked folder mode

Since Vista Edition, the Windows folder tree inflates. It now contains tons of more or less used folders. As a result, we spend a lot of time browsing this tree, looking for the folder that contains the file we want. In a day, that represents a part of our time in front of the computer, as reaching our data is one of the most common tasks.

3DBrowser 13.x introduces the masked mode to hide the folders you rarely use:

• Right-click on a folder and select Mask folder command.
• Repeat this on every folder you want to hide.
• Activate the Masked mode, clicking on ghost icon or press Ctrl+Alt+H: the folder tree view is now simplified.

If you want to unhide a folder, deactivate the Masked mode, right-click on the appropriate folder and select Unmask folder from the contextual menu

Tip#2 - Fast folder access

3DBrowser memorizes the folders you often use and give quick access to them.

• In the toolbar, click on the folder name field or press F4 key.
• Type few letters of the folder name you are looking for.
• Select one folder from the list of folders that contain that name.

Note: the feature requires you already browse the folder once to make it appears.

Tip#3 - Filter files by name

In 3DBrowser you can display the content of one or several folders in the thumbnail view. That can be a lot of files and so it matters to filter among these files, in a simple way.

This can be done very easily:

• In the toolbar, click on the filter field or press Ctrl+F
• Type the extension or a part of the name you are looking for.

Note: you can also use & ^ ! chars in your search for And, Or, Not.

Press Ctrl+F and press Esc to quickly remove filtering.
