Hi team,
I’m currently working on a catalog of pre-owned luxury watches for a client based in Dubai, and I’m running into a minor technical issue. I’m using Polygon Cruncher to optimize the 3D models of the watch cases and bracelets (which are often very dense due to the links), but I’m getting a pretty odd rendering of the reflections on the polished steel after downsampling. Have any of you worked on objects with highly reflective materials or complex metal surfaces before? I’m worried that the crunching process might break the normals, giving the watches a plastic-like appearance in the final render.
