Changing the render view

Post by flandryx » Wed Apr 13, 2016 11:17 pm

Hi,

Is there anyway to change the 3D cameras render view from a straight on Z angle to a three quarter shot? Or allow us to save a default viewing angle from the 3D viewer? Right Hemisphere had a similar option and was pretty handy.

Thanks! :)

Hi,

There is many way to use a specific render view in 3DBrowser.

First look in the View > Isometric Point of view menu from the 3D viewer.
You have there three quarter shot point of view.

To save a point of view and use it as the thumbnail view, select Tools > Thumbnails Update
  • Defines as Global Point of view: your point of view will be used for any 3D files
Defines as Specifc Point of view: your point of view will be used only for the specific file
Define Default Point of view for FBX: your point of view will be used for all FBX files (or another format, depending on the file format)
Replace Thumbnail: let you select any bitmap file to be used as the file thumbnail
Note that when define a particular point of view, the viewer use that point of view when you open the file.

I hope this help,
Manuel
