renaming/creating files and folders

Post by oatsey1 » Thu Nov 06, 2014 1:26 pm

Good morning, I've just purchased a licence for 3D Browser and have a few issues I hope you may help advise on please. I'm running Windows 7 64bit and trying to use 3DB as a 3D file management tool.
When trying rename files and folders, move files or folders the program doesn't refresh - when checking in Windows explorer the tasks have been done but are not appearing in 3DB unless it is closed and the reopened. Any ideas?

Cheers J

Hi!

3DBrowser monitor usual disk and should reflect any changes you did.
This is particularly strange that a move operation it not refresh.

* Are you renaming the files in a particular disk? Such a USB key or anything specific?
* Do you have a similar problem using Windows Explorer?
* What feature do you use for renaming (single file renaming, multiple file renaming) or moving (Cut/Paste, Drag&Drop)?

You might also use the F5 key to force the refresh. This is not the ideal solution but at least it avoid to close and reopen the app.

Thanks for the precision,
Manuel

Hi
Thanks for the prompt reply. F5 now refreshes the changes made thanks. The problem seems to be with the left hand folders panel, creating and renaming folders here does not refresh automatically. I am working on a network drive.

Cheers

Thanks for the precision.
I'll have a look to check if I can reproduce it.
If so, it will be corrected in the next release.
