This page allows to define a background image on each page area. You can improve your printings by adding a page background texture, a frame around cells... You can also play on tints by applying the same background image to several elements. To do that, select an image and apply it to the page background and to the cell background then select a green (opacity 50) for the page background and a blue (opacity 50) for the cell background.

Images

You can use up to 3 different images, and apply them to one or several page areas.

To add an image to the current printing, check one of the image checkboxes. Select an image, using the file selector. 3D Photo Browser will ask you to copy the image in the print templates folder, so the image will be always available to the application.

Check or uncheck an image checkbox to enable or disable an image.

Modify Click on Modify to change the image settings. 3D Photo Browser asks you to select an image, if none is defined.

File and position

You define here the size of the image and its repeat mode.

Repetition mode Select one of the available repeat mode. If you select Do not repeat, the image is displayed one time at the size and position you set.
Relative to

Select a page area to position the image in this area.
For example, your image is a frame and you would like to frame each cell with it:

  • select Relative to cell.
  • enter the 0 value for X and Y.
  • enter 100% for width and height.
  • uncheck Constraint proportions.
X / Y
Width / Height
These settings adjust the image position and size.
These values are relative to the element you have selected in the Relative to menu.
If the size is lower than 100% you can repeat or not the image, using the Repetition mode menu.

Note: press the Control key to modify both X and Y or width and height.
Constraint proportions

Check Constraint proportions to avoid an image stretching. Uncheck this setting if you do not want to truncate the image. For example, to cover the page background 4 times exactly:

  • select Repeat in both direction.
  • select relative to page.
  • enter the 0 value for X and Y.
  • enter 50% for the width and height.
  • uncheck Constraint proportions.
  • select Apply to page.

Apply to

Select one or more background area to cover it by the image. Note that if you did not define a background color for an element, its background is transparent and the image is visible through this element.

You can play on the background colors and elements opacity to tint the background image.

Image processing

These parameters allow you to perform some adjustements on the image. Note that the image file is not modified by these settings.

Check Black and white image to display the image in black and white.
Modify the Contrast value to increase (value < 1) or decrease (value > 1) the image contrast.
