Batch command applies a set of 3D Photo Browser commands to a set of files. batch processing allows a lot of files to be converted in one step, to apply filters, stretch or rotate images... Predefined batch commands are available through the Batch command menu in the 3D Photo Browser toolbar.

Followings terms apply to batch processing:

Source files
: the set of files which will be modified by the batch command.
Source directory: directory and sub directories which contain source files.
Batch command: set of commands run successively on each source files.
Destination files : file resulting from the batch command processing.
Destination directory: directory which contains destination files.

To create a batch command, you must define source files, 3D Photo Browser commands to apply to source files and destination files. A dialog box allows creating a batch command really easily. This dialog box is organized as follow:

Description

Enter the batch command name. This name appears in menu, which contains batch commands, accessible from the 3D Photo Browser toolbar.

Left window

This window contains the organized list of scriptable commands.
Add a command to the edited batch command by:

  • double clicking on the command name, or
  • selecting the command you want insert in your batch command and clicking on the right arrow button.

Right window

This window contains the commands list of the currently edited batch command. Source files command is always on the top of the list. You can:

  • delete the selected command by clicking on the cross button. Source files command can't be deleted.
  • move a command upward or downward, using the up or down button. Commands order is important as commands are run from the top to the bottom. You can't set a command before Source files command.
  • edit command settings, using the dialog box button. This button is inactive, if a command does not have any setting. Current selected command settings are displayed at the bottom of the dialog.

Destination files command should belongs to the list if you want to saved the batch command results. Destination files is usually the last command of the list. You can also add it anywhere else in the list if you want to save one of the batch processing steps.

Load

Load a batch command from the hard disk.

Save

Save the current batch command to the hard disk.
All the commands settings are save as well as all file formats settings.

Delete

Delete all commands from the batch command.

Run batch command

Run the batch command on each files as defined in the Source files command.
A window displays batch processing information for each command applied on each file processed. Errors or warnings are displayed in red or yellow lines.

Resulting files are saved in the destination directory as defined in the Destination files command.
