Display the images list

This list allows to view the image layers or the different frames of a video or an animated GIF. Select the image to display from the list by clicking on its thumbnail.
When you open several images in the same viewer, compare your images by clicking on their thumbnails.
For a video, the list displays about thirty images extracted from the movie. When you stop playing at a particular frame, the list is updated and shows the images around this frame.

Play a video or an animated GIF

Use this command to play a video or an animated GIF. Use Play video to start the video. Click on a thumbnail in the images list to jump to a particular frame.
Select Play video again to stop playing a particular frame. The images list is updated and shows images around this frame, allowing you to extract or modify images around this breakpoint.

Note: when you modify a video or an animated GIF image, the original file is not modified.

Extract images from a video or an animated GIF

Use Play the video to play a video or an animated GIF, then stop playing at a particular frame. Use the images list to select accurately the frame you want to extract. Use Save as... command to save the selected frame in an image file.

You can open next or previous image file directly from the viewer. :

Slides show opens successively each image contained in the current folder.
