I understand that LightWave 2018 will have a completely new object (.lwo) format. Will 3D Browser support the new file format?
Thanks

Hello,
Yes, it will be supported if the format description is available.
Do you have any info on that point?
Thanks
Manuel

Hi Mootools, what are the differences between the new format and the old ones?

Hello,
The new format use the same architecture than the old one, but the data are stored differently particularly the material data.
The previous format use chunk and sub-chunks whereas the new one remove the notion of subchunk.
All is now organized through FORM chunk which are imbricated recursively.
You may refer to the Lightwave SDK to get more details if this make sense.
