Bump Map In Collada File

Hi !

I have got a collada file including bump map information.
The bump map is not displayed in the viewer.


Any idea ?

Hello,

No, the viewer does not display the bump map.
But this is not a problem if you use the stand alone version that is furnished with the 3D Photo Browser package or with Polygon Cruncher for 3ds Max / Lightwave package

When you load a Collada file from Polygon Cruncher, optimize the mesh then save it back to collada format, Polygon Cruncher performs an update of your file.
This means that it saves only the modified geometry / UVs / VCs. The other information is kept (animation, materials...).
So your bump map must be keep too.

This is now more clearly notified in the latest version of Polygon Cruncher (10.0).
The export dialog shows you this Update Mode and you can select to save the collada file in update mode or not.
