Command line license

Post by toolmonkey » Sun May 05, 2019 5:22 pm

Hi,

I'd like to clarify the command line licensing. I see that the command line tool is being sold as a separate package, but in the help docs it is stated that "The Command Line version of Polygon Cruncher is included in: 3D Browser setup package. Polygon Cruncher for 3ds Max, Maya, Lightwave package."

Is the command line tool included in the Maya license? If so, are there any features included in the command line tool option that would explain the price difference? (Command line 599USD vs Maya/Standalone 129USD).

Thanks,
-Pete

Hello,

The command line license includes:
  • Optimization features via the command line
  • Polygon Cruncher StandAlone version
The command line version does not include Polygon Cruncher for Maya, 3ds Max or Lightwave.

The difference of the price is due to the fact that the command line version allows the automation of optimization through a pipeline process.
It can be used, thought network into automated processes and matches company requirements with according support and requirements.

Let me know if you need more details on the licensing conditions.

Hi Manuel, can you recommend a suitable license after hearing the use case? I'm just curious.
