merge objects command?

Post by clintone » Tue Apr 08, 2014 7:11 am

Hi I have PolygonCruncher for 3ds max 2012 and I was reading there is apparently a way to merge multiple objects together in the batch optimiser?

How do I do this?
Thanks

Hello,

No this is not possible. The batch dialog offers to merge points and faces but not object together.
This an option which is available in the 3D view menu but you have to do this before on each file.

An alternative would be to create a batch command under 3DBrowser (the merge object command is scriptable) and process your files before performing the batch optimization.

If you need help to do this under 3DB, let me know.
