Contact print

Post by Trial user » Tue Oct 16, 2007 11:04 pm

I am trying the program.
I am trying to create a contact print of some 3DS objects.
However, whatever settings I seem to make, the object has a black background even when it is not black in the Catalogue view.
What am I doing wrong please?
Regards
Dave

Hello,

First be sure you have setup the release 9.12 (or more). The way transparency is handled when using the print catalogue command has been improved since this release.

If you have the correct release, the way transparency is printed depends on your printer capabilities.

1- If your driver handles transparency, there should be no problem.

2- Unfortunately most of printer drivers handle transparency incorrectly (from a technical point of view, they does not take care of transparency when calling the Win32 AlphaBlend function). If your driver does not handle transparency, 3D photo Browser does it best to give a correct result. It replaces the background of your 3D objects with the Image Background color that is defined in the tab Border and Color of the Print Catalogue command.
This mean that if you set this color to white, 3D Photo Browser will use a white background for your 3D objects.

I hope this help you,
Manuel
