Question:Custom sort order

Greetings, I have a question.
About The custom order, how can I use this feature? it always appears greyed out.

Hello,
This is simple, you just have to select one thumbnail (or several with the Ctrl key).
Then drag these thumbnails to the insertion point you wish. This is the blue line in the capture below.

The selected thumbnails will be moved at the insertion point, as shown below.

When you'll open back the catalog, you'll find this custom order kept (and automatically restored if Activate Custom Order Automatically is checked).
