Import images from TWAIN device

Scanners usually exchange with computer using the TWAIN protocol (Technology Without An Interesting Name).
If a scanner or a digital camera is connected to your computer, you can retrieve images from these devices using TWAIN importation command.
If your device is recent, it might supports WIA protocol. If so, it's better to use WIA importation command.

To import images from a TWAIN device:

Images file name

Enter the name of saved images. Extension is automatically added by 3D Photo Browser using the selected format extension.
This name is used to save image you import from the TWAIN device. If you import several images, files are numbered using the transfer order.

Destination directory

Enter the path of the directory which will contains the importated images.

Click on Browse... to select a directory, using the select directory dialog box.

Images file format Select format of the saved images. Some formats involve to modify images. For example, gif format performs a 256 colors conversion.
Settings...

Click on Settings... when some settings can be done for the selected format (i.e. quality for JPEG files).

Display only common files extensions

3D Photo Browser recognizes a lot of formats. Display only the most common formats using this checkbox.
