Split a File

This command splits a file into several files, which have a smaller size. It is useful to split a file when it is too big to fit on a destination support (floppy disk, ZIP, CD-Rom). Split files have .split extension. Original file is not modified using this command.
Use Merge files command to get back the original file from the split files.

File to split

Select a file...

Select the file to split. Use Select a file... to open a file selector.

Split files size

Select size of the split files. Number of files that will be created is displayed, depending on the size you choose.

Size list contains several predetermined size. Select Others... in order to enter your own split file size (in Ko).

Destination directory

Browse...

Select the destination directory in which split files will be saved. Enter its path or select it using Browse... button.

Merge Files

This command merges split files and gets back the original file.

Select Merge files command
Select one .split file
A dialog box shows which files will be merged. Validate to begin the process.
A dialog shows you the merge progression.
