Lossless JPEG

JPEG lossless plugins let you edit (rotation, flip...) quickly your JPEG files without reducing their quality.
Indeed, JPEG file format is a destructive format. Each time you modify and save a JPEG image, you damage it, by losing details.
This is not the case if you apply JPEG lossless transformation.

You must select one or more JPEG file to activate JPEG lossless plugins.

Rotate 90°

keyboard access: Ctrl+T

Rotates selected JPEG files 90° clockwise.

Rotate -90°
Version: for Dig. Cam. / for 3D Users
menu access: Tools / JPEG lossless
keyboard access: Ctrl+Shift+T

Rotates selected JPEG files 90° counterclockwise.

Horizontal Flip
Version: for Dig. Cam. / for 3D Users
menu access: Tools / JPEG lossless
keyboard access: Ctrl+M

Flips horizontally selected JPEG files.

Vertical Flip
Version: for Dig. Cam. / for 3D Users
menu access: Tools / JPEG lossless
keyboard access: Ctrl+Shift+M

Flips vertically selected JPEG files.

Others Settings

This function modifies some characteristics of the selected JPEG files.

Remove additional information

Keep only comments

Keep all additional information

JPEG file format save additional information such, for a digital camera picture, the brand of the camera manufacturer, exposure information...
If you want to reduce file size, you can remove all these additional information or keep only the comments.
If you want to keep all these information check Keep all additional information.

Progressive JPEG

Check this box to make selected JPEG file being progressive. This feature is really useful if you put JPEG file online on the web as it make it appears progressively on the screen while it is downloaded.

Black & white JPEG

You turn image to black & white by checking this button. All color information is lost.
