3D Photo Browser plugin for 3DS Max

3DS Max files are unreadable outside the software, as 3DS Max file format is compound of many informations issued of the plugins.
The 3D Photo Browser plugin for 3DS Max appears in the utility panel of 3DS Max. It must be activated to allow 3D Photo Browser to exchange information with 3DS Max files.

Use the "Launch 3D Photo Browser" function to open 3D Photo Browser directly from 3DS Max.

Creating thumbnails for 3DS Max file
Version: Light / for 3D Users

In order to create thumbnails of 3DS Max files, you just have to open the 3D Photo Browser plugin for 3DS Max.Thumbnails computation can be launched using the following functions:

• Scan computer: scans the selected directory in order to create the catalogues.
• Scan current directory : creates or updates the catalogue of the current 3DS Max directory.

When a thumbnail is created in 3D Photo Browser, 3DS Max loads the corresponding 3D file, then reload the previous scene to disturb less as possible the user.

Note: that you can also update thumbnails directly from 3D Photo Browser if the plugin is activated.

Importing 3D files in 3DS Max
Version: for 3D Users

In order to import a 3D scene from 3D Photo Browser to 3DS Max, you just have to:

• Activate the 3D Photo Browser plugin in the utility panel.
• Activate 3D Photo Browser.
  
• Open the 3D file you want to export to 3DS Max.
  
• Use the 'Send to 3DS Max' function in the viewer.
