Equalize
Version: for Dig. Cam. / for 3D Users
menu access: Edit / Filters / Colors
The "Equalize"
function redistributes the brightness values of the pixels in an image so that
they more evenly represent the entire range of brightness levels. Once, done,
the average luminosity is close to 128.
You might use this function when a scanned image appears darker than the original
and you want to balance the values to produce a lighter image.
Normalize
Version: for Dig. Cam. / for 3D Users
menu access: Edit / Filters / Colors
This filter gives pixels
luminosity the widest dynamic range (0...255). Normalize increases image contrast.
You might use normalize when image highlights and shadows appears gray.
Threshold
Version: for Dig. Cam. / for 3D Users
menu access: Edit / Filters / Colors
Use the Threshold command to convert grayscale or color images to high-contrast, black-and-white images.

All pixels lighter
than the threshold value are converted to white and all pixels darker
to black. |
Solarize
Version: for Dig. Cam. / for 3D Users
menu access: Edit / Filters / Colors
Blends a negative and a positive image similar to exposing a photographic print briefly to light during development.

Inverted R, G and/or
