Fixing Activation Problems

So I installed PolyCrunch for Max on my old Windows XP box. Now I've upgraded my computer and didn't realize I had to deactivate the software before activating it for the new install. I've read the instructions for activating manually, but I don't understand what it means to "Create an activation shortcut". Actually, the rest of the instructions don't make much sense to me, either. How can I get the software activated so I can use it?

This is important to join some reference for your order, so activation could be reset very quickly.
